The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals delivered a mixed ruling in Apple's ongoing battle with Epic Games, upholding a contempt order against the tech giant while offering partial relief. Judge Gonzalez Rogers had previously accused Apple of a "willful violation" and "cover-up" to protect its lucrative App Store revenue streams.

The court affirmed Apple's violation of an injunction by imposing a 27% fee on external transactions but urged reconsideration of intellectual property compensation for developers.
